RoboScientific is advancing FARM-PROTECT, its non-invasive poultry health monitoring platform designed to detect early disease signals in commercial poultry flocks through automated air sampling and VOC analysis.
The system builds on RoboScientific’s proprietary organic semi-conducting sensor technology, originally developed for agricultural disease detection applications. By analysing changes in volatile organic compounds in the air within poultry houses, the platform is designed to identify biochemical changes associated with disease before visible clinical signs become apparent.
FARM-PROTECT combines automated sampling, sensor-array analysis and machine-learning models to provide interpreted health alerts for farmers and poultry producers. The aim is to support faster intervention, improved bird welfare, reduced losses and more resilient poultry production.
Poultry is RoboScientific’s lead commercial application, with development focused on practical deployment in commercial farm environments. The technology is being progressed through field validation and pre-commercial development, building on the company’s wider experience in VOC-based disease detection across livestock sectors.
The platform has potential relevance across a range of poultry health challenges, including bacterial, parasitic and respiratory disease risks. By providing earlier insight into flock health, RoboScientific aims to help producers move from reactive disease management towards more proactive, data-led monitoring.
FARM-PROTECT forms part of RoboScientific’s broader livestock health intelligence platform, with further development opportunities across pigs, calves and dairy.
