Early Monitoring of Calves for Bovine Respiratory Disease

Sampling the breath of Calves to detect if they are infected with a respiratory disease

Calves are fed on milk until typically 10 weeks old.  during this time, it is possible that they have been infected with Bovine Respiratory Disease, which is very hard to detect.  Using Roboscientific VOC sensor arrays tuned to identify the disease, we will sample the calf's breath whilst it is feeding and analysethe composition of the VOCs present to detect if the calf is infected with the disease.

As with all Roboscientific systems, the technology delivers results in real-time automatically to the farmer providing accurate information about the health of the calf, ensuring it is treated appropriately and transmission to healthy calves is avoided.
