RoboScientific is a leading proponent of Volatile Organic Compound analysers. It is leading the field in researching and developing diagnostic techniques which provide reliable and fast results from a wide range of samples informaing on the status and health of livestock, crops, and stored vegetables and cereals.
We are developing a range of diagnostic tools from handheld monitors to room/barn monitors to enable the regular and ongoing review of the status of a wide range of agricultural produce.
RoboScientific has developed a fast, efficient method of targetting suitable organic semiconductor candidates, which respond to specific VOCs.
We have a programme of research projects that continue to stretch the envelope of knowledge and increase the effectiveness of the monitoring systems we are developing. Our technology is currently focused on three main applications: Agriculture, targeting the health status of livestock and in the growing, packaging and storage of fruit and vegetables.
We are also able to demonstrate accurate measurements relating to infection and contamination in both live animals, and grown food products. In addition, we can provide accurate monitoring and process control of manufacturing activities as diverse as the production of bread; drinks and paints.
We have already completed a number of successful feasibility studies and field trials in the agriculture arena and these are now being developed into new practical applications on the farm. The challenge taking this technology out of the laboratory and into the countryside with all the extremes of weather; relatively unscientifically qualified operators and rough handling has helped refine the design brief and prototypes are about to be trialled. Given the challenges ranging from unacceptably high levels of food wastage and disease risks such as campylobacter in chickens and TB in cattle; the outcomes are expected to be very significant.
Our upgraded Benchtop VOC Analyser, the 307B, has just been launched. With a sensor array that can detect and analyse a range of VOCs to identify a range of Digital Fingerprints, or bespoke arrays for specific applications, the 307B VOC Analyser is designed for the laboratory, to remotely analyse samples and log the data within its custom-built software.
Coming in 2020 is a range of on-farm samplers and analysers which provide automatic monitoring and detection of diseases as soon as they occur, automatically alerting the farmer in real time.
